A curated, citywide celebration of Reno’s f0od-and-drink community

Reno Food & Drink Week is a reimagined, citywide celebration of the food and drink locations helping shape Reno’s culinary future. Curated by Cheree Boteler the founder of Hungry in Reno, the event recognizes locally owned and chef-driven spots that deliver standout flavor, thoughtful hospitality, and consistent execution—day in and day out.

Participation is by invitation and reflects performance, not promotion. Locations are selected based on real guest experience, food and drink quality, care for the community, and adherence to health and safety standards. There are no participation fees, advertising requirements, or pay-to-play placements.

The event is open to the public. During Reno Food & Drink Week, locals and visitors are invited to dine, sip, and explore exceptional food and drink experiences created specifically for the event. Guests are encouraged to share feedback, which helps determine the top-performing locations and shapes the final awards.

Public guest ratings determine which locations advance, followed by post-event, anonymous judging conducted under everyday operating conditions. Together, guest experience and independent evaluation ensure recognition is earned through consistency and care—not hype.

Reno Food & Drink Week exists to elevate what’s already strong, inspire what’s possible next, and build a food culture locals are proud of—one bite and one sip at a time.

How the Event is Supported

Reno Food & Drink Week is independently underwritten by its founder to ensure the integrity of the event and to remove financial barriers for participating locations. This underwriting allows the event to operate with a small, intentional budget while prioritizing fairness, independence, and consistency.

Sponsorship packages are available for businesses interested in supporting the event. These partnerships provide meaningful marketing and visibility opportunities for sponsors while helping underwrite the operational and promotional costs of Reno Food & Drink Week. Sponsors do not influence participation, scoring, or recognition.

Select media, marketing, and in-kind partners have been invited to support awareness, guest engagement, and event execution through services and materials. These partnerships are structured clearly and transparently and do not influence invitations, judging, scoring, or outcomes.
